Mavras, Mavrazade is our family name on the island of Crete. As; is the surname given to us in 1934 with the Surname Law when we came to the Republic of Turkey with the population exchange, and Mavras is the combination of our family name Mavrazade and As.
The quality of our products comes from our long-lived and tenacious olive trees. Our olives, grown on the slopes of Kaz Mountains, the oxygen source of the world, on steep slopes facing the sun, protected from the northern winds, acquire their flavor with all their naturalness on the branch. Our olive oils, obtained from the olives of the Küçükkuyu region, bring a soft and pure taste to your palate.
Mavras Olive Oil Factory
Mavras olive oil factory was established as a continuation of a centuries-old family tradition, amidst the olive groves of the valleys at the foothills of Kaz Mountains, with its new generation modern technology. Olives harvested early from organic-certified Mavras olive groves in October and November are processed into olive oil daily. Thanks to the state-of-the-art technology used in our factory and the hygiene we maintain, our olives are separated from their leaves, washed and showered, then passed to the crusher. From the crusher, they are transferred to malaxers under 26 degrees, without oxygen, in a vacuum, via an atmospheric pressure piston pump. From the olive paste, which undergoes malaxation for a maximum of 10 minutes, the oil is separated in a decanter using completely closed systems. After the separation process, Mavras olive oils, rich in polyphenols, minerals, and nutritional values, are obtained.
Our biggest distinguishing feature as Mavras from our competitors is that we carry out all stages of production, from the care of our olive groves to harvesting, from olive oil production to storage, bottling, and sales, under our own supervision and in our own facility.
